How to print information from a flash drive. How do I print directly from a memory card or USB flash drive? How to find the right program on your computer

We use a printer for printing almost every day, printing photos, documents - any information that we want to see printed. Printed information is easier to digest and easier to understand than what is visible on a computer screen; moreover, it is much more mobile and easy to use than electronic information. It happens that we do not have an Internet connection and we need to use removable memory media in order to print information.

Instructions

  • First of all, make sure that the capacity of the flash card is larger than the size of the document. Insert the removable storage medium into the computer and wait until the installation of the new device is completed. After the “autorun” window appears on your screen, click on the inscription “open to view files”.
  • Make sure there is enough space on the flash card to copy the document. Scan the USB flash drive with the antivirus on your computer and copy the document from the computer to a removable memory medium. Make sure copying is complete and remove the device safely. To do this, right-click on the “safely remove device” icon, select the flash card and click “stop”.
  • Insert the flash card into the computer to which the printer is connected. Open the document or copy it to your computer. Open the file and in the file viewing menu click on the "print" button. Select the number of copies and print format, as well as the active printer, and then click OK. Safely remove the flash card.
  • The USB Direct interface only supports USB flash drives, PictBridge-compatible cameras, or digital cameras that use the USB Mass Storage standard. No other USB devices are supported.

To print data directly from a memory card or USB flash drive, follow the instructions below:

DO NOT unplug the power cord or remove the memory card or USB flash drive from the media connector (slot) or USB Direct connector while the product is reading or writing data to the memory card or USB flash drive (the Photo Center key is blinking) . Data may be lost or the card may be damaged.

    Using the Photo View function

You can view photos on the display and print them. If your photos are large, there may be a delay before each photo appears on the display. Using the index page (with photo thumbnails)

    1. Check that the memory card or USB flash drive is inserted into the correct slot.
    2. Print the index page.

The photo center assigns numbers to photographs (for example, No.1, No.2, No.3, etc.). Photo Center does not recognize any other file numbers or names used by a digital camera or computer to identify images. You can print a page with thumbnail images. It will display all the images contained on the memory card or USB flash drive.

      1. Press the key Photo center.
      2. Click Index.print.
      3. Click Index page and select 6 photos/row or 5 photos/row.

      4. - Click Printing options to change the type or size of paper you are using.
        - If you do not need to change the paper settings, go to STEP g.
      5. Click Paper type. Select the type of paper you are using.
      6. Click Boom format. Select the paper size you are using.
      7. Click Color Start to start printing.
      8. Determine the photo number you want to print.
    3. Click Photo center.
    4. Click Index.print.
    5. Click Printing photos.
    6. Enter the image number from the index page. After entering the numbers of all images, click OK.
      • - For MFC models:
You can enter multiple numbers using a comma or a hyphen.
For example, enter 1,3,6 to print images No.1, No.3 and No.6.
Enter 1-5 to print images No.1 to No.5.
      • The length of the line for entering image numbers for printing cannot exceed 12 characters (including commas).
    7. - For DCP models:
Enter the number of copies required by pressing + or - .

      - For MFC models:
Enter the number of copies required, either by directly touching the input field and entering the number, or by clicking the buttons + or - .

    8. Do one of the following:
      - Click Printing options to change print settings.
      - If you do not want to change any settings, press Color Start, to start printing.

Hello everyone, my dears! Just yesterday I realized this thing: many of my readers are very poorly versed in computers. That is, I’m talking here about how to make money using the Internet, about some cool services for saving money while traveling, but it’s all like crazy, because computers are a dark forest for some of my guests.

So today I decided to correct this omission and start with a very detailed story about how to type text on a computer. So...

    In this article:

    1. Program for working with text

To create a text electronic document, there are special programs. They allow you to print text, that is, create a layout of a document in electronic form, which can then be printed on a computer or transferred to a flash drive.

There are a huge number of such programs, but there are only a few of the most popular.

    1 Microsoft Office Word
    2 —WordPad
3 - Writer (rarely used, needs to be installed separately).

    2. How to find the desired program on your computer

I know from my family that the most difficult thing for a beginner at the first stage is to find and open these programs.

To cope with this task, you must have an idea of what program icons look like. Most often this is a document icon with the letter W, or as in the latter case - with the letter A(this is how the WordPad program is designated):

Look closely at the desktop and the toolbar below, programs can be placed in a prominent place, like on my desktop (by the way, here it is, don’t be alarmed):

If you don't find anything like that, then try the second method:

1 - launch the panel Start or just click on the round icon in the lower left corner, a menu will open.

In it you need to find a field to search for files, I call it Find programs and files:

It is in this field that you enter the name of the program you are looking for. For example, I enter the word Word and get Microsoft programs Office Word:

If I enter the word WordPad, it will find this program for me:

After that, you simply click on the found program, and a working window opens in front of you in which you can create a document: print text, edit it and save it.

    3. Working with a document and editing text

So, in front of you is a working area, the so-called blank sheet. This is where you can type text and edit it as you please.

Usually, beginners, when they see this sheet and a huge number of buttons, get lost and don’t know what to do. The thing that causes my brain to explode the most is the keyboard: it’s not clear where and what to press.

So, you don’t need to be afraid of this, you will definitely be able to figure it out. To do this, just watch this informative video; everything in it is very simple and explains in detail the main features of the program.

Be sure to watch this informative video from beginning to end, remembering to repeat all the steps after the presenter. This will take a giant step in learning text editors.

Then all you have to do is train, and then you will be able to navigate literally any text programs, since they are all structured approximately the same.

    4. How to save text

Once you have created your document, you can save it. To do this, find the button in the upper left corner that calls up the menu, and from this menu select Save as and any suitable format, for example Word Document:

A window will appear in which you can select:

    1. where to save the file (I usually choose Desktop,
    2. what to name the file (enter any suitable name),
    3. and the file format (I don’t change it, I leave it as default).

Ready! This file will now appear on your computer's desktop.

You can do whatever you want with this document. For example, put it on a flash drive, send it via email, open for further editing or delete.

By the way, if you are working on a large document, I recommend that you make intermediate saves. And the more often, the better.

    5. How to transfer a text file to a flash drive

    It's very simple.

    1. Insert the flash drive into the computer.

    2. On your desktop, find and open My computer(or just Computer).

    3. In the window that opens you should see Removable disk , click on it 2 times:

An empty window will open, which we will leave for now:

    4. Now find our text file, we saved it in the previous paragraph on your desktop. Click on it with the RIGHT mouse button, and in the menu that appears, select Copy:

    5. Now go back to the removable drive that we just opened in step 3, click on the free field with the RIGHT mouse button and select Insert:

The document will be copied and appear in this field:

That's it, now the flash drive can be removed from the computer.

    6. How to print a document on a printer

Let's say you have a printer, it is already connected to your computer and configured properly. I won’t talk about connecting the printer and settings now, as this is a topic for a separate article.

But if you already have everything set up, you can print the document in literally 2 clicks. But first, make sure the printer is turned on and has the required amount of paper.

    1. Open the document you want to print:

2 . Find and open the menu in the upper left corner and select from it Seal, and then again Seal:

A window with a bunch of settings will open, but don’t be afraid of them, they are all quite simple.

Here you can select a printer, if you have several of them, the number of copies of the document, sheet format, print color, etc.

But if you don’t need any specific settings, you can leave everything as default and just click OK.

The printer will start printing and you will receive the document. By the way, in this way you can print not only a text document, but also other files, the scheme will be the same.

    7. Become on “YOU” terms with your computer and improve your life

Not having a common language with a computer today is a big problem. If 5 years ago it was excusable not to be able to work with technology, today this results in a huge obstacle for every beginner. This is because almost every profession today comes into contact with a computer in one way or another.

When I worked at a large military enterprise, they installed new version design program. It didn't cause any problems for me, just a new shell.

This can be compared to the updated packaging of my favorite candies: I didn’t stop buying them less, but was simply able to quickly adapt to the new wrapper.

But for many employees this was literally a disaster, they were so dependent on the program interface, and their brains were so desperately resistant to anything new. As a result, they were even trained to work in the new interface.

These are not the best times for Russian companies, and I don’t even need to guess who will be the first to be laid off...

And a completely opposite example is also from real life.

The engineer has more than 40 years of experience, is constantly developing and mastering not only the computer, but also all modern engineering programs. They don’t want to let such a specialist go; he is needed, in demand and speaks the same language with his young subordinates.

This is just one example. Now think about how many opportunities the ability to use a computer opens up to make money remotely via the Internet. Even after learning how to use a text editor, you can write .

Being familiar with a computer is a necessity today. It doesn’t matter where you study, today there is a huge amount of useful materials, courses, and schools on the Internet.

I will end here. I hope that the article was useful to you and helped you understand the main points. Move forward, improve, be better. That's all for today, thank you for your attention and bye!

Of course, the easiest way to cope with the task is to seek help from specialists from the nearest photo studio, who will print photos of any format in a matter of minutes. However, modern equipment helps solve such issues independently at home, because today printers are produced equipped with an informative LCD display and special connectors, with which you can print photos from a flash drive even without using a PC. For those who do not have such universal innovative devices, we can recommend a lot of other easy-to-follow methods on how to print a 10x15 photo on a printer using a flash drive for these purposes. And the first of them is to connect the device for printing to any PC, be it a desktop computer, laptop or even a tablet with special connectors.

The next stage involves launching operating system and synchronization of the PC with the printer, which is quite easy to do using the pop-up dialog boxes with tips through Explorer and the "Devices and Printers" section. If for some reason the PC does not “see” the printer, you need to connect it to another connector. In addition, if we are talking about the first use, then you need to install the drivers using installation disk supplied with the device intended for printing (if it is missing, the driver can be downloaded from the network using the model and serial number of the printer). After successful synchronization to the PC, you need to connect a flash drive with a photo intended for printing. The next step is to open the flash drive on your PC and click on desired photo right-click to select the “Print” function from the menu that appears.

The next step is to select the required formats for printing the photo. So, in the top panel of the pop-up window you need to check the name of the printing medium used, set the photo paper format ( album sheet A4, other type or type that can be set manually), as well as image quality (usually with a resolution of 600 by 600). In order to select printing 10x15 photos, you can use the auxiliary panel of the pop-up dialog box located on the right side. So, if you use paper of the required size for printing (in in this case we are talking about the 10x15 standard), then on the right side of the panel you need to click on the icon with the caption “Full page”. In this case, you need to make sure that the “Image to frame size” option is checked in the bottom panel of the pop-up window, otherwise there is a risk of getting a smaller photo.

If you still don’t have photo paper of the required size in stock, you can use standard format A4 (landscape sheet), while selecting the icon with the caption “10x15 (2)” in the right side panel. In this case, it becomes possible to print two photos of a given format on a sheet at once, and you can use either the same or completely different images, without forgetting to put the required number of them in the bottom panel opposite the “Copies of each image” mark. By choosing the number “1”, you can get only one 10x15 photo as an output, which will subsequently need to be cut out with scissors. In order not to make a mistake with the parameters specified in the dialog box, a special preview function is provided and after the optimal option is selected, you can safely click on the “Print” button, having first made sure that photo paper has been inserted into the printer.

If the output image quality leaves much to be desired, you can try changing the print settings by checking the box next to the “Improve print clarity” line, and also working in the “Color Management” submenu. At the same time, we should not forget that the finished result is greatly influenced by the quality of the paper, so it is best to give preference to original products, given the fact that photos on glossy thick paper often turn out fuzzy and blurry.

The operation of the printer ensures rapid transfer of information from electronic form (stored in the computer database) into printed format. Currently, various models are used, which differ in the printing method, output parameters and quality of the resulting documents. If desired, you can choose the appropriate model for quick, high-quality printing of documents at home and in the office.

Typically, documents are taken from a computer database and then transferred to a special text editor and sent for printing. But sometimes the required document or folder is in another database, so you need to quickly move it. In this case, a special removable storage device (flash drive) is used. With its help, you can quickly transfer information and print it using equipment connected to a printer.

How to print from a flash drive: instructions

If you have not encountered this method of work before, use detailed instructions. With its help, you can transfer and print any file on your computer system. To do this, follow these steps:

    1. Connect your computer and printer to a power source and synchronize the devices with each other.
    2. Insert the flash drive into the USB connector on the computer panel (if there is a connector in the printer, you can connect to it directly).
    3. The technique will start automatic search files on an external drive. After this, you will be entered into the “operating parameters”.
    4. Then a list of found documents will appear in the control panel. Using the settings, edit the basic parameters, select the paper type, image format... Go to the menu for preparing the file for printing.
    5. Select the required folder from the list provided, then click on the “print” button

If you are working with a computer, you need to transfer the desired document to a text editor and format it appearance and send for printing. After this, the imprint will appear on the paper sheet. When finished, carefully remove the device from the connector.

IMPORTANT: When transferring information from a device, activate your antivirus to avoid infection by a virus program.

How to transfer money to a flash drive?

One more useful function Flash drives are used to store money. In addition to text information, you can save electronic wallets to the media. Users recommend storing their savings on removable media. To do this, you need to create a special folder and transfer the e-wallet address to it. This is quite simple to do:

    1. Insert the flash drive into the USB port, open it in a new dialog window.
    2. Create a special file or folder called “wallet”.
    3. Download your wallet address in a zip version of the document.
    4. After that, move it to the desired location.
    5. Don't forget to encrypt the file path and ensure that it is shared. After this, you can open your wallet from any computer.

IMPORTANT: Storing money always carries a risk, always keep an eye on your flash drive and periodically check its condition.

For convenience and safety of printing, we suggest using the following tips:

    • Use storage capacity of no more than 8GB.
    • Make copies on your desktop in case you lose the media.
    • Use passwords and additional security measures to prevent information leakage.
    • Check that the selected file format is appropriate.
    • Do not insert the device into third-party computers without a working antivirus.
