Wisetech-service also offers an extensive list in Russia. At the moment there are 67 partner branches in both large and small cities of the Russian Federation. They say that this list will gradually expand.

That is, if problems arise with your smartphone or tablet, you need (after submitting an application for warranty service) to contact the nearest service center. If there is no such branch in your city/district, you can send the device by mail to Moscow. If the case is under warranty, the cost of shipping will be reimbursed to you.

The service also repairs non-warranty cases, but only at the buyer’s expense.

Repairs are carried out within 5-20 days(the need to wait for spare parts and ship the device is not included in this period). If the technician has been working with the gadget for more than 20 days and all the spare parts are available, then the device is considered unusable. Same thing if you three times you will send the device for repair with the same breakdown (this means that the defect is being repaired, but it still manifests itself after a while).

It feels like the service center website was created by a schoolboy who, moreover, is unfamiliar with the norms and rules of the Russian language. It’s difficult to get answers to your questions from the content on the site, but we are offered to use the “Online Consultations” service. True, it is not clear how the consultation takes place - in chat mode (which is doubtful) or in the form of mail correspondence in the user’s account when logging in to the site (which is more likely). Okay, these are minor things.

The fact that the service center cooperates with AliExpress can be guessed by its logo on the page with the company’s partners in the “Online Consultations” section. It will probably be there someday detailed information about the terms of the guarantee, but so far there is no data about them.

Sending the device from the regions to a service center located on the territory of Moscow, the buyer does at your own expense. If the case is under warranty, then after repair Tomrepair will pay for return shipping technology.

Gadget repairs are carried out within 2-5 days. True, there is one very interesting remark: sometimes the deadlines can be delayed, but by how much is no longer specified. It’s clear that sometimes you need to wait for spare parts – but how long?

If by chance the product, from the point of view of Tomrepair technical specialists, turns out to be serviceable, then it will be sent back to you free of charge, but you will have to pay 600 rubles for consultation and diagnostics. There is no point in bothering people over “trifles” ^_^.

A refund if the gadget cannot be repaired is possible, but only if there have already been 3 calls to the service center for the same breakdown. After the third such case, they will send you money minus the costs of shipping the goods. Hmm, it’s not clear what kind of forwarding we’re talking about, because they can keep the damaged phone for themselves, why send it back?

It is quite possible that the service center has highly qualified specialists, and they repair equipment much better than competitors, but Tomrepair’s delivery of information to consumers is terrible.

It’s quite difficult to trust people who write in the FAQ under “Returns”: « We can re-repair twice after the first.” Can you guess what we're talking about? The fact that the money will be returned only after the third unsuccessful repair.

But Tomrepair has courier delivery in Moscow, albeit for a fee. For busy people, this is a good opportunity to save time.

What is not considered a warranty claim?

Please read the following conditions carefully. mobile devices will not be subject to repair or exchange.

  1. Mechanical damage and defects (cracks, chips, scratches (deep), deformation of parts, damage network cables, broken control buttons, cracked connectors).
  2. Obvious traces of devices getting into water or being stored in damp conditions, contamination from food or drinks, non-compliance with the rules of transportation, connection, operation and storage (traces from a fall or strong compression of the device).
  3. Attempting to improperly test the product, including changing the design or installing inappropriate software.
  4. Preliminary repairs at an unauthorized service center.
  5. Damage caused by force majeure (a dumb point, anything can be included under it).
  6. Damage to the serial number markings or its absence on the product body.
  7. Violation of the control seal installed by the manufacturer (this is a trace of preliminary repair).
  8. Natural wear and tear.
  9. Expiration of the warranty period.
  10. Compensation or replacement of the device by the seller.
  11. Detection of fraudulent intentions on the part of the buyer.

Although the repair guarantee program itself is quite simple, let’s talk about its terms and conditions again. First, let's look at what the option of purchasing a warranty looks like.

Everything here is very clear. If you go to the page of the product you need and see the option “1 year repair warranty”, this means that you can additionally purchase a warranty for this product. The option is available only to buyers from Russia, Ukraine and Belarus.

Yes, the option is paid and its cost is about 4% of the cost of the purchased product.

Before continuing to talk about the repair guarantee program itself, let me allow myself a small but, in my opinion, important digression.

The fact is that quite recently, literally 2-3 months ago, there were two programs: “Repair Guarantee” and “Replacement Guarantee”. The cost of the second program was more expensive and the conditions were slightly different from the conditions of the repair guarantee program. But at the time of writing this article, all mentions of the replacement guarantee program simply disappeared from the guarantee page and I now do not see such an option on the lots themselves. This makes me think that the guys from Aliexpress and Wisetech are still testing their warranty programs and at any time they can change their rules and/or refuse any obligations altogether, or completely cancel some program...

Now let's continue about the program itself.

The first thing to keep in mind is that the warranty only applies to smartphones and tablets of certain brands and only to equipment with electromechanical defects that arose during normal use.

Second. The repair guarantee program can only be used if it was paid for when purchasing the product and no earlier than 15 days from the date of receipt of the product. This is due to the fact that within 15 days after receiving the product, if faults are found in it, you can still open a dispute on Aliexpress and resolve any issues with the seller through a dispute.

Third . To take advantage of the repair guarantee program, you need to activate it (apply for warranty service) in your Aliexpress personal account, in the details of your order, or directly from the “My Orders” page. There will be an active link "Take advantage of the guarantee"

In addition, there are local service centers in a number of other cities: Vladimir, Volgograd, Voronezh, Yekaterinburg, Kazan, Krasnodar, Krasnoyarsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Novosibirsk, Omsk, Perm, Rostov-on-Don, Samara, St. Petersburg, Saratov, Stavropol, Ufa, Chelyabinsk.

For residents of Ukraine, there is currently only one service center and it is located in Kyiv.

In Belarus, there are service centers in Minsk, Baranovichi, Brest, Vitebsk, Gomel, Grodno, Kalinkovichi, Kobrin, Mogilev, Mozyr, Novopolotsk, Pinsk and Smorgon.

Those. If you are lucky enough to live in one of the listed cities, then you can use repair services on the spot. But if you live in some other city, then you will have to send your device for repair to Moscow, Kyiv or Minsk (depending on the country). Here certain “pitfalls” may already arise, which we will discuss below.

Pitfalls

Delivery of the device to the service center

Here and further I will talk about the conditions of service for citizens of the Russian Federation. So, if you live in one of the cities where there are local service centers, then you don’t have to read this paragraph, because in this case everything is simple - you just bring the device to the service center and submit it for warranty repair.

But if you live in some other city, then let me remind you once again that the device will have to be sent to Moscow. Yes, Wisetech will reimburse shipping costs. But! You cannot choose the sending method yourself. Sending is possible only through a request to the company and will be carried out by the courier service "Courier Service Express". This is exactly what one of the points in explaining the company’s work speaks about.

Well, on the one hand, it’s certainly convenient, no doubt about it. You submitted a request, it was processed and a courier was sent to you, you gave your device to the courier. Everything is free. But looking ahead a little, I will say that this shipment will be free only if your defect is recognized as a warranty case! But if this does not happen, then you will have to pay for shipping both ways! Quotes:

"If the device is not under warranty, we will send it back to you after you compensate for the cost of shipping to Moscow and back. All tariffs can be checked on the Courier Service Express website."


"If the Service Center after diagnostics determines that the damage does not meet the warranty repair conditions, That the cost of sending the device back, the Buyer must pay independently."

There is a delivery calculator on the Courier Service Express website, so you can calculate for yourself how much the shipment may cost if your defect is suddenly recognized as non-warranty. And I strongly recommend doing this in advance, because the figure may upset you and be comparable to the cost of repairs in any local service center (depending on the defect, of course).

Yes, Wisetech does not hide this condition, but I still consider it a certain pitfall.

"We will make every effort to carry out repairs as quickly as possible. If we are unable to complete the repair, we will deem the device non-repairable. In this case, you will be offered a new replacement device."

"Sometimes necessary spare parts for repairs are ordered from China. We inform the customer about the estimated delivery times."

Can you guess what timeframes we might be talking about if parts are ordered from China? If you buy it yourself in China, then I’m sure you can guess... Thus, repairing the device can take a very long time...

Device replacement or money back

The conditions for replacing a device or refunding money for a device are governed by clause 2.6 of the “Basic Terms and Conditions...” mentioned above by me. And it reads:

"(1) In the event that the Provider provides service within the framework of warranty repairs cannot repair the same defect in the device 3 (three) times in a row for the third time, the device is recognized as beyond repair and the Buyer has the right to demand replacement of the device with a new or similar device in terms of characteristics and consumer qualities. In this case, the Buyer is obliged to provide evidence of previous repairs (receipts, reports). Only device diagnostics, in in this case, is not considered a repair."

Thus, it turns out that the device can be repaired for an outrageously long time. And if you consider that the repair time does not take into account the logistics time when ordering spare parts from China, then it can turn out to be very long!

"(2) Only the Contractor can declare the device beyond repair and offer a replacement for the same or similar device in terms of characteristics."

Well, this just once again confirms my earlier idea that the sole decisions on “warranty” or “maintainability” are made exclusively by Wisetech. Well, OK, so be it, as they say, “master and master.” But do you know what warranty period the company sets for the devices they provide as replacements? ;)

(7) The replaced device has a warranty of 15 (fifteen) calendar days. If during the warranty period the Buyer discovers a defect in the replaced device, he is obliged to inform the Contractor about it. If after diagnostics in the ASC the fault is confirmed, the Contractor is obliged to perform the replacement again.

You tell me - you can get your money back! To which I will again respond with a quote:

(3) In case of non-repairability, the Contractor offers a replacement. Only the Contractor can determine whether the device will be replaced or monetary compensation will be provided. Cash compensation cannot be paid at the request of the client.

So, although it is possible to receive money, it is only if such a decision is made by the company itself and nothing else.

Next. Suppose the situation has reached the point where a decision has been made to compensate you for the malfunction by returning your money. So there are pitfalls here too, because... after 6 months from the date of receipt of the device, compensation is possible only taking into account its depreciation. Quote again:

(11) If it is necessary to return the cost of the device to the Buyer, after 6 (six) months of the warranty period, with each subsequent month, the Service Provider must compensate the cost of the device minus 10%. For example, on the 7th month of the warranty period 90% of the cost is compensated, on the 8th month – 80%, on the 12th month – at least 40%

Now let’s remember that the service center can repair a fault 3 times, while ordering spare parts from China... Here, after all, you may not be able to do it in six months...

I will not say that everything is downright bad at Wisetech. This is not why all this is being written. Simply correlating some points of their procedures and rules with others shows us an excellent opportunity for how it is possible, on completely legal grounds, not to pay 100% compensation to the buyer.

Conclusion

In conclusion, I want to say once again that everything I have written does not serve the purpose of showing that the repair guarantee on Aliexpress is a complete fiction, that Wisetech is a bad company, etc. Not at all! I just wanted to show the reader (and potential buyer of such a warranty) what he may encounter and what he should pay close attention to when a warranty claim occurs.

Therefore, let's summarize and talk about what is good in this program and what is not so good. I’ll try point by point and start with the positives:

1) In my opinion, just the presence of such a program on Aliexpress is already a big plus! No matter what, but this is a really working guarantee. And it’s better to let it be than the other way around.

2) Wisetech, which provides support under the repair guarantee program, is, in principle, dynamically developing and trying to be closer to its customers. Still, local SCs are already operating in quite a large number of Russian and Belarusian cities. I hope that the same will happen in Ukraine soon.

3) The Wisetech company organized courier delivery in Russia at its own expense for devices that are submitted for repair. By and large, this is also good, but with the small reservations that were above.

4) The “issue price” or the cost of participation in the repair guarantee program is generally not prohibitive, and when you pay $150-200 for a device, then an extra $5-7 won’t make any special difference, but it will make your life easier in the event of a breakdown. they can.

Well, I also can’t ignore the minuses (in my opinion):

1) As practice has shown, Aliexpress, and most likely Wisetech, can unilaterally change the terms of the program. Well, take the case of the disappearance of the replacement guarantee program. Those. at some point you may discover that there is either no guarantee at all, or its conditions have changed significantly. And there will be no one here to present it...

2) Frankly “dampness” and incompleteness of some conditions of the program (for now). But I hope that Wisetech will work on this issue and optimize the working conditions of its service in favor of the buyer.

3) Limited scope of the program. As I already said, now it only applies to smartphones and tablets from certain brands. And I would like other electronics to also have a similar guarantee. But I think it's only a matter of time.

Well, now all that remains is to answer my own question, which I asked in the title of this article: “Is it worth buying a repair guarantee program?” My personal opinion here is this: if you live in a city that already has a local SC, then it’s probably worth buying! Even if nothing breaks for you within 1 year (pah-pah-pah and so be it!), then the price to pay for your peace of mind is quite insignificant. But if you have to send the device for repairs to Moscow, then you probably need to re-read what I wrote here once again and weigh for yourself all the pros and cons. Still, unnecessary movements and loss of time cannot be avoided here, and you can only control the process remotely.
