Sometimes it becomes necessary to print a pre-lined sheet for various occasions. For example, to pass the time playing tic-tac-toe, you need a checkered sheet, what to do if it is not at hand. You can draw it yourself on a ruler, but it's easier to print on a printer. All you need is a template. On this page you can download and print a checkered sheet, a lined sheet or a music sheet.

Checkered sheet print and download

A checkered sheet can be useful for children to solve a math problem, and sometimes even for adults for various board games, such as sea battle, tic-tac-toe or dots. Making your own sheet in a box in Word is not difficult at all, create a table measuring 37 by 56 cells. It will turn out an even cell, as in a notebook in a box.

You can print or download the A4 checkered sheet in PDF format. If you need to change a cell, for example, its size or color, for example, to print a sheet not with a black, but with a gray or light gray cell, then below is a link to a sheet in a cell in Word format.

Lined sheet print and download

You can download or print a lined A4 sheet. The sheet is lined in a large ruler with margins like in a notebook. You can use a lined sheet for penmanship. On our website you can find an online copybook generator for children.

You can print or download the lined sheet on A4 paper using the PDF file. If you need to change the distance between the rulers or remove the margins, then below is a link to the sheet in the ruler in Word format.

Music sheet print and download

You can download the music sheet by saving PDF file to your computer.

Option to draw a sheet in a cell. Sometimes, those who accidentally turn it on do not know how to remove it. And someone, on the contrary, wants to use a cage, but does not know the ways or uses only one, which is not always convenient. Let's look at how to make a sheet in a box in Word.

Cells are usually made on a sheet in the Word to draw any elements, objects, align them, distribute them in relation to each other. It is convenient to work by zooming in to 400% - very large. Such a lattice is not visible after printing, it only helps to format and format the document. There is a special function in Word to make a grid and remove it.

To make a checkered page, check the corresponding checkbox in the "View" panel in the "Show" - "Grid" section.

How to remove a cell in Word if it is no longer needed or if your file has opened with such a grid, and you want to delete it? Accordingly, go to "View" - "Show" and uncheck the box next to "Grid".

Change the grid view

If you want to not only add, but also adjust the cells, their size, this is done through the "Page Layout". In the "Selection area" section at the top right there is an "Align" button. Clicking on it will open an additional window. At the bottom you will see the inscription "Display grid". By activating it, you will receive the same cells as in paragraph 1 of our article. And below is "Grid Options". For example, if you do not know, let's say, how to make a zebra in Word, you can also apply this function. There you can configure the following:

  • put down the size of the step of the cells both vertically and horizontally;
  • distribute the grid to the fields or completely to the entire sheet;
  • display only horizontal lines ("zebra");
  • bind objects.

Using a table

The previous methods create a mesh background, the text is superimposed on top, and it needs to be specially adjusted - to align the font size and spaces on your own. If you want to enter objects, words into cells, it is more convenient to use the tables function. For example, when it is important to print some certain lines of cells, to make them visible. This method is often used when creating document forms.

  • On the "Insert" panel in the "Tables" section, create a table in a Word document;
  • then, having selected it, on the “Home” tab in the “Paragraph” section, remove the borders (“All borders”);
  • there we activate "Display grid".

The lines will not be printed, but you will be able to arrange the desired cells. If you need to select one separate cell when printing, put the cursor inside it and click "All borders" or the option you need. If you need to print the lines of neighboring cells, then select them and also put down visible borders.

You can remove the grid only by removing the entire plate completely. To do this, select it, right-click on it and click the appropriate label. Please note that the text entered in the cells will also be deleted. This is the inconvenience of the method in comparison with the previous one.

The advantage of the function is that you can put several different labels in one document with different cell sizes. At the same time, they can be moved relative to the page, text can be distributed around them.

Insert pictures

You can make a checkered Word sheet by inserting a picture by placing it behind the text. Make the picture you need (for example, by photographing a notebook sheet) or download it.

To place a picture, you can simply drag it either through the "Insert" - "Picture" toolbar.

Right-click, hover over Text Wrap, and select Behind Text from the list. The text will be printed over the image.

When printing, if you do not need the grid to be visible, just remove the picture from the document.

Convenience option:

  • you can move, narrow, reduce the picture;
  • the grid will be visible when you print, if that's what you want.

This option is for those who do not know how to make a notebook sheet in Word. You just take a picture of it and paste it with a pattern.

Using a background

In the toolbar in Word, on the "Page Layout" tab, in the "Page Background" section, click on "Color" - "Fill Methods". Next, through the “Drawing” tab, we add a ready-made background downloaded or made in advance, the same notebook sheet. You can also select a checkered pattern, large or dotted on the Pattern tab, then you can also choose the color of the borders and fills yourself.

Substrate function

In the "Page Layout" - "Background" tab, click on "Substrate" - "Custom Substrate". There we also download the desired picture, in addition it can be discolored. The option, like the previous one, is convenient when it is not needed for the entire document and when you want to make the lines remain when printed.

Accordingly, to remove the background in the Word, just click on the inscription in the drop-down window.

So, there are several options for how to make cells in Word. Depending on whether you need them for the entire Word sheet or only for a part, should they be visible when printed or not, you need to add text over or into cells - choose the option that is convenient for you.

Instructions for printing on checkered sheets

Recently, notebooks on rings have become more widespread. And this is no coincidence, the convenience of such a notebook is invaluable. Sheets can be swapped, pulled out, but the most amazing thing is that they can be printed on. How? I will talk about this now. I would like to make a reservation in advance, the main condition for printing on such sheets is the presence of a printer with an adjustable rear tray. Without this - nothing.

So, first we need to create the sheet template that we have.

1. Create a new document in Microsoft program Office Word (I have the 2010 version), go to the “Page Layout” / Size / Other Page Sizes tab ... and set the size of our sheet on which we are going to print.
2. We measure the margins of our sheet into a box (that is, the distance from the edges of the sheet on four sides to the area where the text will be) and set the values \u200b\u200bfor the document in the program (Page layout / Margins / Custom margins ...).
3.

So that we can visually see where our cells are, turn on the grid.
In the 2010 version, this is only possible in one way: add some shape, for example, an arrow (Insert / Shapes / Arrow), click on this shape and go to the “Format” tab, here click on the “Align” button (on the right, near setting the width and height of the object) and select "Grid Options", check the boxes wherever possible, set the grid step: horizontally and vertically - 0.5 cm (standard cell, you can use other values, depending on the size of the cell your sheet) where it says "Show grid", set horizontally and vertically - 1.
The grid appeared. Now the document in the program resembles a notebook sheet. However, it is necessary to make sure that the text goes exactly in the cells. More on that in the fourth step.
4. Press select all (Home / Select / Select all or Ctrl + A combination), go to the tab "Home" / Paragraph, set the following value: line spacing - exactly - 14.2 pt., put a tick on "Do not add spacing between paragraphs of the same style.
5. Again, select everything and choose any font we like, the size is 14.
6. Save the document as a template (for example, in *.dot or *.dotx format).
Now we have a template that we will always use as a base. Close the document and open it again.
Next, enter the text that we need, edit it. It is advisable to download the handwritten font Propisi and use it (when I type in a notebook using this font, everyone thinks that I write so beautifully myself).
There may be problems with the margins, so before printing it is worth checking whether the size of the margins on the leaflet matches the settings set in the program.

If not, you need to fix it.
Now you can print the document. In the printer settings, set the following: sheet size - A5, paper feed - rear tray.
The printed sheet is ready. Students and other business people! Take a few hours to learn how to print on checkered sheets - and you can be sure that someday you will save more than one hour during the training work.

How to get a lined sheet using Word

You need to print a lined sheet. How to do it easier?
We will use a table.

Line sheets in Word 2007

Insert a table with one column and ten rows into an empty document.

  • Select the entire table.
  • Go to the "Layout" tab.
  • Set the cell height.

Now add rows to the table until it fills the entire page (but does not go to the next one!). How to insert rows, see here - "How to add a row to a table in Word."
Position the cursor in the table and open the context menu (right click).

The “Borders and Shading” item will open a window for you in which you need to uncheck the buttons with the image of vertical lines.

We press "OK" and we get what we wanted - a neatly lined page.

How it's done in Word 2003

The principle is the same, the only difference is that you will have to set the row height in the "Table Properties" window, opened from context menu.

Conquer Word and see you soon!

how in Microsoft Word to make a lined sheet in a box like in ordinary notebooks? and got the best answer

Answer from I U[guru]
So, open MS Word. Turn on the "drawing" toolbar (View - Toolbars - Drawing). Click on the "Actions" - "Grid ..." button on this panel. In the window that appears, enter the grid parameters you need. If you want to create a pattern for weaving - put, for example, 0.34 cm horizontally and 0.4 cm vertically. Check the box next to "Show grid lines on screen". Click OK. A grid will appear on the screen. But this grid is virtual, it will not be visible when printing the file. We will have to select the "Line" tool on the "Drawing" toolbar and draw each line along the grid lines %) Do not be lazy, it is enough to do it once, and then you can use this file for the rest of its life 🙂
