iPhone X screen polishing. iPhone X screen polishing Iphone 8 scratches

Noticed a very interesting thing. For two days of active use of the new eights, I showed them to many friends. And the scenario has always been the same - everyone snatches 8 Plus out of my hands, but remains unattended. Suggests… What is so cool that Apple has done in the new generation? We will understand iPhone 8 Plus review.

Bundling or Apple's boundless greed

The box is now painted in the color of the iPhone inside. This, of course, is great, but it would be better if the company spent the money to put a cable from Lightning to USB C inside, which, by the way, costs 2 thousand rubles separately. With it, we could at least connect the new iPhone to a MacBook, well, or to another modern laptop. The benefit of USB C is now being actively implemented by everyone.

But no! Instead, the Cupertinos left an outdated 1 amp memory. From the master's shoulder, so to speak.

In addition, inside are ordinary wired EarPods with a Lightning plug, an adapter from it to a mini-jack and ... stickers. There is nothing more interesting. You can see for yourself by looking at my unboxing.

Design - four years the same

The new plus makes some impressions. Here are the key ones.

My God, what same he healthy!

iPhone 8 Plus is the most unfortunate example of a smartphone with a 5.5-inch screen. Why did I bring this topic up again, because it was already clear even on the example of 6 Plus? Because this perfectly demonstrates the relationship of the manufacturer to its fans: “everything for their sake, so that they feel good, so that each new generation is more comfortable than the previous one.” Aha!

The market is full of smartphones with the same screen, but in a more compact body. Samsung, Huawei and Xiaomi have been especially successful in this.

The smartphone is inconvenient always and everywhere. It barely fits into the front pocket of your pants. If you still stuffed it there, got into the car and drove off, God forbid, they will call you. On the move, it is simply impossible to take the device out of your pocket and not see into the pole.

However, the large display is a real boon. Surfing the Web, scrolling through the Instagram feed, typing on a normal keyboard - all this is much more convenient to do than on. When I used the latter, I found myself thinking that I needed to stop and concentrate in order to type without errors. Plus allows you to use it in a more relaxed way.

How now to show off?

For the fourth year in a row, the same front panel. Nothing, literally nothing new.

Oh yes! Apple now claims glass is 50 percent stronger. I didn't test it, but I'm sure one of you will, sooner or later.

But I checked the device for something else - for scratch resistance and the new iPhone failed the test.

Literally in a week and a half of use, scratches appeared on the display and on the back cover. It's out of the way at all!

All the changes are at the back – now we don’t have smoothly polished metal, but tempered glass. But with an oleophobic coating, very high quality.

There is no exact information on the type of glass. They say this is the last generation of Gorilla Glass, and this, if anything, is the fifth version.

Such a panel at the back was installed for one single purpose. The nosebleed smartphone needed at least some innovation, so it was decided to put wireless charging inside. True, it cannot be called an innovation, because skis have been actively using this technology in their flagships for four years now.

Since a special coil is used for this under glass, we had to reduce battery. We write down 225 mAh in losses (in 7 Plus there were 2900 "machs", and it became 2675).

He is never black!

Did you look at the "ass"? We have already understood that black iPhones from the current line are no longer to be seen. Now we have gray space or Space Gray. Actually, as it was before.

Personally, I don't like it. The back panel looks normal, but you definitely won’t exclaim “wow”.

With other colors, things are even worse. Look at the golden one, the back of which is white in the light, “rusty” indoors?

The silver version is the most boring. For conservatives and those who are not at all embarrassed by the huge frames on the sides of the screen.

Slides but not

One of the main tactile-visual iPhone 8 Plus Specifications- it is still slippery, but it cannot be compared with the metal predecessor (not Jet Black). The glass on the back definitely adds grip. Well, how? Not much, 30-40 percent.

However, due to its large size, dropping a smartphone on the floor and now saying goodbye to both glasses is still a trifling matter. So the purchase of a cover is strictly required.

If anything, iFixit has already dismantled the novelty and gave it 6 out of 10 points on the maintainability scale. This means that if something happens, it will be more difficult to repair a novelty than the same seven (7 points).

Plays louder

As in its predecessor, the sound comes from two speakers at once: from the main one at the bottom and the speaker at the top. The latter sounds quieter, but adds good stereo.

The new Plus plays louder than the old one. 25% according to official statements. I will check this later in a separate review, where I will compare both generations of devices, but for now we take Apple's word for it.

The sound itself is of high quality and loud, not even above average, but rather closer to the maximum from what I heard. And of course, 8 Plus is a little louder. Another argument in favor of buying an older brother.

Little things

The antenna frames are now very short and are only visible at the ends. If anything, the base of the body is made of 7000-series aluminum (it doesn’t bend, that is), and Apple also talks about some kind of “steel base”. Apparently, it is inside the case.

The physical buttons are made very neatly and do not wobble in their slots. Not a single manufacturer of Android smartphones pays attention to this - everything rattles like a rattle. But not the iPhone.

Do not be afraid for the protruding camera. Here we have a sapphire crystal, so it will be extremely difficult to scratch the lenses.

The display is nothing new. Practically...

There is nothing new in the iPhone 8 Plus screen. Unless they added support for True Tone technology. The bottom line is that a special sensor next to the front camera monitors the ambient light and adjusts the color temperature of the screen for a specific situation. In short, that the screen becomes either very yellow (in a room with poor lighting), or slightly yellowish (in bright sunlight).

And no, this is not Night Shift. This setting works separately. If, of course, it is activated.

Compared the screens of the iPhone 8 Plus and. That's what came out of it.

If you compare it head-on, it becomes obvious that the 8 Plus display is a little more pleasant to convey colors. In the youngest, they are more harsh and with a slight bias towards a green tint.

A strong deviation along the diagonal axis shows that we have the most common IPS matrix. Yes, high-quality, no doubt, but it still swims with a whitish fog. This is not AMOLED for you.

Apple constantly claims that the screen here is "Retina HD", that it's new and all redesigned, that it supports P3 wide color gamut and all, but in reality the display easily merges with someone with its Optic AMOLED.

What's new in hardware?

Technical iPhone specs 8 Plus 64 GB(in my case) will compare with iPhone 7 Plus. It is logical, clear and practical. Let's go!

On September 22, the first sales of the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus began, the most noticeable difference being the glass case. Apple hasn't released a glass iPhone since 2011. The aluminum body that appeared on the iPhone 5 proved to be stronger and more durable, but unsuitable for the introduction of wireless charging.

We selected the most interesting crash tests of new smartphones.

Strength test

The author of the video blog JerryRigEverything compared the effect of dropping two iPhone 8 on concrete: one without protection, and the second in a plastic case. The first two falls almost did not damage both smartphones, and after the third and fourth, the screen and the back cover of the smartphone without protection were badly damaged.

Bloggers from PhoneBuff protested the Note 8 and iPhone 8 Plus using special crash test equipment. Smartphones were thrown on the front and back panels and on their sides. The last test showed the least damage: the end frame in both models turned out to be impact resistant.

Another video from PhoneBuff - this time bloggers compared iPhone 8 and Galaxy S8. The Korean smartphone survived the fall worse than the iPhone 8: in the S8, the glass was tattered, while the iPhone did not.

The EverythingApplePro project compared the new iPhones with the previous generation - the iPhone 7 Plus. When the presenter dropped the smartphones from the height of his head, the iPhone 8 Plus turned out to be broken: - from one blow, his entire back panel went "cobweb", but his predecessor was almost unscathed.

scratch test

After testing the iPhone 7 and iPhone 8 using tools from a special kit with nozzles of different levels of hardness (from plastic to topaz), EverythingApplePro found that the new generation is less susceptible to scratches than the previous one.

Glass in the iPhone 8 was taken only by topaz (8), while marks and less rigid nozzles (6 and 7 levels) were left on the aluminum case.

Blogger JerryRigEverything was able to scratch not only iPhone glass 8, but also a camera that Apple claims is made from sapphire. The blogger said that when examining the structure of the glass on the camera under a microscope, he found out: this is not pure sapphire, but its alloy with something less durable.

Bend test

The problem of bending iPhones became relevant back in 2014. Then the iPhone 6 came out in a case made of a single piece of aluminum and users complained that it could bend right in your pocket. Tests have shown that the iPhone 8 does not have this problem.

In the EverythingApplePro video, they tried to bend the iPhone 8 with their hands, but nothing worked. According to the blogger, the glass case does not bend at all and successfully passed his test, unlike the previous generation smartphone. In the case of the iPhone 7, the fold test completely destroyed the tightness of the smartphone.

Waterproof test

Blogger Jonathan Morrison plunged an iPhone 8 and Galaxy S8 into a public fountain filled with ice water for an hour. After the test, both smartphones continued to function normally.

The salt water test was conducted by the TechRax project. Both after five minutes and after an hour of complete immersion in water, the Galaxy S8 and iPhone 8 were fully operational.

Conclusion from iFixit

A study of the iPhone 8 by iFixit service experts showed that in order to repair the glass cover of the new smartphone, it will be necessary to completely disassemble it. iFixit gave the iPhone 8 a mere six repairability scores, less than the iPhone 7/7 Plus, iPhone 6s/6s Plus, and iPhone 6/6 Plus (all seven).

On September 12, Apple introduced the long-awaited new generation of iPhone, whose representatives were called iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and ... iPhone X, this time the company decided not to use the “S” line. Although we will see the iPhone X (or iPhone 10, as you like) no earlier than November, you can get to know the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus better now, because both smartphones ended up in our editorial office - traditionally much earlier than the official start of sales in Russia.

We will deviate from the usual review format and will not talk about the box and equipment - there are absolutely no changes compared to the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, the same EarPods with a charger and a Lightning cable. Separately, I would like to note the innovation in iOS 11, with which you can set up a new iPhone from another via Wi-Fi - this is the first smartphone to support such a function out of the box. It is enough to place the devices nearby, enter the necessary passwords and literally get a copy of your previous smartphone. This is how it looks like:

Let's quickly remove the protective films from the new products and take a closer look at them.

After the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4s, Apple stopped using glass as a back panel material. It is not surprising, since this part of smartphones was almost the most fragile and was constantly broken - although not into fragments, it looked ugly. The new generation of iPhones is glass again, with the back of the iPhone 8 covered in glass, which Apple says is the most durable glass used in smartphones today. I'm sure enthusiasts will check it out soon.

It’s worth talking about glass, at least for the reason that this is one of the main visual differences between new products from the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. At first, holding on to the glass back panel is unusual, and then you remember the feeling of aluminum and come to at least two conclusions: the iPhone “in glass” does not constantly strive to slip out of your hand, this material is generally more pleasant to the touch, less affected by ambient temperature. In winter, the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus were difficult to comfortably hold with a bare hand - aluminum became so cold. Glass, however, collects fingerprints with a bang - worse, perhaps, things are only with the iPhone 7 in the color "black onyx".

Actually, the glass panel is the main culprit for the fact that the new iPhones have become thicker and heavier. iPhone 8 is 10 grams heavier and 0.2 mm thicker than its predecessor, iPhone 8 Plus is 14 grams heavier, the difference in thickness is the same. At first, this difference is noticeable not so much visually as it feels, then you get used to it, since the difference is actually minimal.

The side frames of the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus remain aluminum, their color and back panel match the selected color of the smartphone. Although due to the use of glass, the rear panel has clearly become a little dimmer.

Otherwise, outwardly, these are all the same iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus: a round Home button, a 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch IPS display, respectively, a front camera, a speaker grill and a standard set of sensors. Therefore, if you look at the front panel of the new iPhones, you can hardly tell them apart from their predecessors. And if you also put on a case, no one will know that you bought an iPhone 8 or iPhone 8 Plus.

Bionic is power

The main differences lie in the "iron", although here you can find a lot in common with the "seven". The main innovation is the A11 Bionic processor, which is exactly what is installed in the iPhone X. As Apple representatives said at the presentation, this processor can be faster than the A10 installed in the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus by almost 70%. It was difficult to check whether it really was so, but we tried: in resource-intensive games, the new items do notice differences in performance, but they are so small that iPhone 7/iPhone 7 Plus owners are unlikely to notice.

The processor is accompanied by a neural system and the new M11 integrated motion co-processor and improved graphics (built into the processor) that new smartphones need to work with augmented reality ARKit. Augmented reality content is displayed on Retina display HD, which is also better: resolution and pixel density remain the same (1334 x 750 ppi, 326 ppi on iPhone 8, 1920 x 1080 ppi, 401 ppi on iPhone 8 Plus), but True support is added in new devices Tone like in iPad Pro. It adjusts the colors of the display to match the ambient light. 3D Touch, if you still remember what it is, was also “delivered”, as well as the second generation of Touch ID under the display.

Concerning random access memory, Apple traditionally does not disclose its size, but experts have already managed to find out that the iPhone 8 is equipped with 2 GB of RAM, and the iPhone 8 Plus has 3 GB. In this regard, smartphones are no different from their predecessors.

Camera

If we compare the iPhone 8 and iPhone 7, the smartphones have identical cameras - they are really the same in terms of characteristics (optical stabilization, 5x digital zoom, ƒ / 1.8 aperture, 12 megapixels). There are differences at the processor level: the A11 Bionic has an integrated image processing chip that is able to analyze the elements in the frame - mountains, people, the degree of lighting, and then optimize the shooting depending on what is seen. Autofocus is surprisingly faster, HDR is better, and the flash has Slow Sync.

Technically, the cameras of the iPhone 7 Plus and iPhone 8 Plus are almost the same. Same optical stabilization, 12MP dual camera with wide-angle and telephoto lenses, optical zoom, 10x digital zoom, portrait mode that blurs the background (bokeh) and focuses on the subject. The difference lies in the True Tone Quad-LED flash with Slow Sync and Portrait Lighting, which, however, is still in beta.

Portrait lighting includes several styles that can be applied to photographs. "Studio lighting", for example, illuminates the face of the subject, while "contour lighting" matches highlights and shadows to bring out the details of a person's face in a portrait. The "stepped light" mode deserves special attention - it places the face on a flat black background, it looks spectacular. While styles can be removed and changed even after taking the photo, these are not Instagram filters. The effects are a symbiosis of real-time hardware image processing and a dual-camera system setup. But while, again, the function is in beta testing, it does not always work correctly. We are sure that Apple will soon finalize the artificial intelligence that analyzes data when shooting.

Photos on the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus really come out brighter and juicier, especially when you turn on the HDR mode. Objects look more detailed, colors are saturated, and the shooting process itself is faster, which is very important for objects in motion. Here they are - the wonders of the new processor.

Shot on the main camera of the iPhone 8 Plus:

Not without innovations in video recording technology. So, now the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus can shoot 4K video at 60 frames per second, the iPhone 7 is capable of producing a maximum of 30 frames per second. Whether this will be useful is not clear; iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus have 64 GB and 256 GB of internal memory to choose from, but even this is hardly enough to store all the footage in 4K. But "slow" videos (Slow-mo) 240 frames per second can now be shot at 1080p resolution, previously a maximum of HD (720p) was available. A trifle, but nice. Otherwise, everything remained unchanged: optical zoom, 6x digital zoom, single-frame shooting mode with image stabilization.

The front camera is unchanged at all - 7 megapixels, video recording with a resolution of 1080p, f / 2.2 aperture.

Now fast and wireless

Yes, the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus finally have wireless charging (how long have we been waiting for it - 4 years?). It works using the Qi standard: here Apple decided not to reinvent the wheel and simply took advantage of an existing solution that works on many Android smartphones. On the one hand, it’s a shame, they were waiting for something revolutionary, on the other hand, the range of Qi-enabled accessories is so large that you can find a charger for every taste and budget. Especially soon, the California startup Pi should release a device that can charge the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X at a distance of up to 50 centimeters.

Apple itself will release an AirPower adapter in 2018 that can charge your iPhone, Apple Watch, and the new AirPods wireless headphone case at the same time. It will look like a big charging pad.

For the new generation of iPhone, Apple also provided for fast charging, although there is a slight disappointment here - it is not available out of the box. For iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus to charge faster than normal, you need to use either a MacBook Pro adapter with a USB-C to Lightning cable or another USB-C power adapter. In this case, smartphones gain 50% of the charge in 30-35 minutes.

About pleasant

Like the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, the new iPhones are IP67 splash and dust resistant. There are improvements in terms of video playback - iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus support Dolby Vision and HDR10. By the way, Bluetooth has also been updated: the new products use version 5.0 technology, while in the previous generation it was 4.2. This means that the Bluetooth chip is characterized by low power consumption, and the connection with accessories will be even more stable.

As for time battery life, it has not changed much - smartphones are able to "live" without a battery for about the same time as the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. At the same time, it is worth noting that the battery capacity itself has decreased - which means that Apple has found a way to make smartphones more energy efficient. A good start for the future.

Apple Pay, FaceTime and other features of the previous generation of iPhone are available on the new one.

Verdict

iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus turned out to be excellent representatives of the new line Apple smartphones. Perhaps the number of innovations is not enough to skip the traditional “s” prefix, but despite this, these smartphones look attractive to those who have not updated the iPhone for a long time (models 6s and older). Wireless and fast charging, a new camera for the iPhone 8 Plus and small improvements - this is enough to change the "old man" to the new one. In addition, the glass case evokes nostalgia for the days of the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4s.

But for the owners of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, it hardly makes sense to upgrade to a new model, unless you were looking forward to the appearance of wireless charging (or suddenly bored with aluminum). Otherwise, the novelties are unlikely to surprise you – although it’s worth “feeling” them. Could this be love at first sight?

For the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus provided in such a short time, we thank the i-Ray.ru store.

Greetings to all who looked at the light!

If you read my reviews, then you probably know that I am an "apple addict" with experience, i.e. the last 6 years, or even 7 mine mobile phones- exclusively by Apple. True, I do not chase fashion and do not update with the release of each new model.

My first phone was the iPhone 3GS. It was replaced by the classic - iPhone 4S (the phone is 6 years old, and still helps me out if necessary.

In October 2014, I upgraded to .

Six faithfully served me for 3 years. True, over time, I had to do a little shaman with my own hands and replace the battery and the bottom board with a microphone, but these are trifles. I didn't even think about switching to a new model. 6S was not much different from 6-ki. In 7-ke they removed the connector for standard headphones and it infuriated me wildly. The release of the 8-ki didn’t make much of an impression on me either, and even more so the 10-ka: I want physical buttons, I don’t want incomprehensible “islands” that cut out part of the image.

But what happened happened ... as usual, I updated the firmware from iOS 10 to iOS 11 and .... Got a TURTLE!

Owners of 6-k, if you haven't upgraded yet - think 10 times if you need it!!! There are not so many new features, but the loss in response speed is significant.

In addition, the speaker began to act up ...

Quickly realizing that in any case I would no longer help out for my old used 6, the next day I rushed to the service office.

I have already returned home with a new one iPhone 8 Plus.

Why plus, and not the usual eight? Yes, somehow I didn’t see any striking difference between 6 and 8, and decided that since I should take it, I should take something new, at least different in screen size. Well, as a photography lover, I was bribed by the presence of a dual camera and portrait shooting mode (which, unfortunately, disappointed me. But more on that later).

My model color- Gold

Memory- 64 GB

Price- $799 + sales tax

Equipment standard: phone, charger box, cable with Lightning connector, headphones with Lightning connector, adapter from standard audio connector to Lightning. Papers, stickers-apples. The clip for the SIM card slot, for some reason, was clamped this time ((

My impressions.

1. As you already know, everything new is a well-forgotten old.

The design of the eights is not much different from the sevens, but the aluminum body has again become glass.

According to the assurances of the Cupertino people, the glass is insanely strong... Well, yes, well, yes... A week of careful use of the phone without a case and a very noticeable scratch has already appeared on the back panel. At the same time, I didn’t drop the phone, I didn’t carry it in my pocket with keys and change ...

It seems to me that the old 4S is more resistant to scratches. (on the 4-ke there is a protective glass in front, but the back panel is unprotected for life ...)

Conclusion - despite the loud statements of the manufacturer, I highly recommend the case and the protective glass for purchase. The phone is big and easy to drop.

Size compared to e-reader kindle

And replacing the screen and back panel will cost a lot.

I have a case from ZVE with a "wallet" and a hand strap.

Glass - VICX 3D, i.e. completely covering the front side, and bending to the edges.

When they took the iPhone 7 to my husband, they immediately took a protective glass for $ 40 in the store. It would seem that for such money it should stop bullets on the fly ... Literally a month later, he dropped the phone. The phone was in a case and with a protective glass. You can see the result of the fall in the photo. The glass is whole, but the screen is shattered.

There is no audio jack.

It's very infuriating when you want to listen to music from your phone in the car, and at the same time it needs to be charged.

2. Possibility of fast and wireless charging.

Cupertino not just returned to the glass in the case. This year's iPhones support fast as well as wireless charging. But ... those who want to take advantage of such miracles of technology will have to fork out - neither a wireless charging pad nor a more powerful power supply for fast charging are included in the standard set. Bummer.

3. Screen .

Large. Beautiful. Bright)) Brighter than 6-ki.

True, the owners of 7-k will not notice much difference by eye. I won’t say anything about 6S, since there is no way to compare.

Of the new features - True Tone backlighting, ie. The screen changes its color temperature depending on the surrounding conditions. On a bright day it is very cold, very white. Warm yellow in the evening.

My eyes like the innovation. But, this is not such a critical difference to change 7-ku to 8-ku.

The brightness is quite enough to comfortably see what is happening on the screen even in the brightest sun on the street.

I have had no complaints about viewing angles since the era of 6-ki: the image is juicy, does not lose its brightness at any viewing angles.

4. Sound.

Rejoice, music lovers. The sound in the new iPhones is even louder, even clearer, the bass is even deeper.

The external speaker is now stereo (there was only one external speaker in the 6-ke). I can easily enjoy the music in the shower, the sound level is enough to "shout" the sound of water.

5. Speaking of water.

Eights are dust and waterproof.

But, if my memory serves me, it was still in the sevens.

Splashing in the shower or even dropping it in the sink will not harm the phone. But still, I would not recommend swimming and diving with a phone. If only with a special waterproof cover.

6. Performance.

Inside the novelty

A11 Bionic with 64-bit architecture
neural system
Built-in M11 motion coprocessor

And judging by the tests, this processor is now the most productive on the mobile device market.

I will not give any data from synthetic tests, there are plenty of them on the net.

I can only say that the response from the phone is instantaneous. I just put my finger on the screen, and the action has already been completed))) I won’t say anything about the behavior in games, since I haven’t played heavy toys for a long time. Old age creeps up unnoticed...

7. Battery life.

The battery capacity of the iPhone 8 Plus is 2675 mAh, which is 225 mAh less than that of the iPhone 7 Plus.

However, the battery life, according to Apple, is the same as that of the 7 Plus.

In practice, with active use (5-6 episodes of the series, a couple of hours of conversations with the house on FaceTime, a couple of hours of Internet surfing, checking mail, Google Maps, a few conversations ... I didn’t really time every second using the phone, but about In this charging mode, I have enough for a day, by the end there are still about 25-30%.But now I can fall asleep without putting the phone on charge and be sure that by morning it will not pass out.If you do not actively use the phone, the charge is enough for 2 -3 days Considering the size and brightness of the screen, this is good news, but with the 8th I did not cut off everything that was possible in the settings, if only the phone would live an extra 10 minutes.

The screen shows that the phone has already worked for more than a day, and charging is still 47%

8. Camera.

The main "lure" when choosing between the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus for me was the camera.

I love taking pictures, but it's not always convenient to carry DSLR which weighs several kilograms. Therefore, I wanted to have a high-quality camera on hand "just in case".

Starting with sevens, the main 12 megapixel camera is installed in iPhones. But in Plus models, this is a dual camera that allows you to take photos close to "mirror" and blur the background, highlighting the main subject.

When I read the reviews of the 7 Plus owners, they almost unanimously praised the quality of the photos and sent the SLR cameras to gather dust in the far corner as unnecessary.

What can I say about this. I have no complaints about regular shots. Naturally, you will not conduct commercial shooting on an iPhone, but for a quick "everyday" - why not? The images are bright, juicy, clear.

Even pretty bokeh in places is available with beautiful circles in the background.

But the portrait mode ... An unpretentious user will shoot and enjoy the quality of the pictures. But I ask you, do not compare this poor software bokeh with bokeh from high-quality optics!

The photos show how the processor is trying to determine the edges of the main subject in order to separate it from the background and blur the background. But, the contour is not always determined correctly. Somewhere gaps are visible, and somewhere the outline of the image is blurred with spots.

Raskl and she lost her mustache on the left, thanks to this "blur"...

Those who, as they say, have not tried radish sweeter than horseradish, will be satisfied with this quality. My eyes want to cry bloody tears from this. Therefore, the portrait mode is a useless feature for me, which I personally will use practically or not at all. Foreva mirror)))

Front camera - 7 MP. Takes good selfies. Especially in the dark, using the screen as a flash.

By the way, in iOS 11, the iPhone saves photos in the new HEIC format, which takes up less space than standard JPG with the same image quality, and if you simply copy them to your computer through File Explorer, the photo viewer will refuse to open them.

There are several options, as always:

1. Forget about this matter if you do not copy the photos to a computer.

2. In the phone settings, change the photo quality to standard JPG

3. If you use iCloud and sync your photo album with the cloud, just log into your account through a browser and download the desired photos in standard JPG

A sad story about how I almost lost all the information from my old phone when switching to a new one.

Usually when buying new iPhone I backup my old phone to iTunes on my laptop and just upload this copy to the new device - all applications, settings, photos, notes, messages, etc. again with me. And so I did it more than once, and never did the backup copy let me down.

This time something went wrong. But I found out about this already when I no longer had an old phone, and a backup copy, when I tried to upload it to new phone started throwing an error.

My first reaction is shock. After all, in fact, I lost all the content. And figs with messages and notes, I felt sorry for the photos that, out of stupidity, I did not separately save to my computer.

Sleepless night and Google help, and I found an application that can extract information from a backup copy stored on a computer - iBackup Viewer. The application can be purchased, or you can use its lite version for free.

For owners of 6 and older models, it makes sense to think about the transition. Especially if you want to use fresh iOS11.

The owners of the 6S are questionable. Nevertheless, escos have smarter iron, they already have live photos and the screen recognizes the pressing force, and the camera is 12/7 Mp. It is rather a matter of desire and availability of free funds to purchase new items.

I do not recommend switching to 8 owners for owners of 7. You will not find anything particularly new for yourself. You should wait for the next model, or pay attention to the top 10 coming out in a month, if you are not confused by the screen size and the lack of physical buttons.

What can I say at the end of my essay?

I don't regret switching to a new model. I even got used to the size. Now my husband's 7 seems tiny, and even look at the old 4S under a microscope.

But somehow before apple products brought me more pleasure.

I don't like that I have to buy another to use the same fast charger Charger(I’m already silent about the wireless mat), I don’t like the lack of an input for regular headphones. If Apple wants to provoke me in this way to buy wireless AirPods for $150 (11,990 rubles in Russia), they won't wait!

The promised "armor-piercing" hull glass turned out to be not so armor-piercing ...

Well, the camera in portrait mode was the main disappointment for me.

In all other respects, the phone suits me perfectly, and with a clear conscience, this time I rate it a solid 4 and recommend it for purchase to those who understand why they need a phone for $800 (65,000 rubles in Russia).

Thank you for your feedback!

I hope my chatter didn't bore you.

And see you in the next review!
