Hello dear readers. Some time ago we already talked about webinars and the opportunity to learn and listen to lectures on the Internet. We talked about how to record Audio from a webinar and how to record Video from a Webinar using simple programs. But like anyone free program there are limitations, and if the needs increase, we begin to look towards more professional means. For me personally, the CamStudio program is not very suitable because of its simplicity, I lately I use Camtasia Studio to record a webinar. Some readers have difficulties with her, either she does not write video or sound. Today we’ll talk about setting up Camtasia Studio to record a webinar.
If you have installed Camtasia Studio, the first thing you need to do is configure it. Let's take a closer look at this process.
1. Open the program and see the welcome window. Here you need to select Screen Recording
2. If for some reason the welcome window does not open, select Record the screen at the top
3. Select what we will record - the entire monitor screen (Full screen) or only part of it (Custom). When recording a webinar, I record only the part where the pictures are in order to reduce the size of the resulting file, and so as not to show what else is happening on the computer at this time. If we select Custom, the program displays a green square, which must be stretched to the desired location and size. The part to be recorded will be shown lighter, and the part that will not be recorded will be shown darker. very convenient. See the picture below.
And select the sound settings as shown below -
Here you need to select the sound source from where it will be recorded. The microphone should not be set - then the recording will go through the speakers to the microphone and the quality will be terrible. I choose Stereo Mix (with sound card).
4. The next step is what format the resulting file will be in. To do this, go to Options and where Saving select AVI (regular video file). Save the settings.
5. All settings are done - you can press the big red RECORD - REC button.
To stop recording you need to press the F10 button
6. After pressing F10 - end of recording, we will be asked to view what happened and choose whether to save or delete the recording. Select Save and Edit
7. And the last step is to save the recording correctly. Select the RECORDING SIZES item that was used when recording the webinar, or other sizes if you want to get a smaller picture -
The resulting avi file will be the finished version.

How to record a webinar
I am glad to see you, dear readers, on the pages of my blog, Tools for Business. If you don’t know how to record a webinar, then this article will tell you about it.

2. Record directly from your computer
To improve audio recording, you need to route the audio directly from the sound card to the recording program. You can do this using the audio settings in the taskbar. Go to the tray, at the bottom right of the screen and right-click on the speaker image.
After muting the microphone, you need to turn on the stereo mixer. To do this, we do the same actions as before.
And click OK. Now the sound will go from the sound card to the program and be recorded. All we have to do is turn on the sound recording.
For some reason, when saving files in audacity, I get an error asking me to download dll file. However, downloading the file and/or reinstalling the program does not lead to anything, so I decided to use program number 2 Free Sound Recorder. This program allows you to record audio, but it cannot edit the file, which is possible in audacity. However, it is more than suitable for recording webinars.
If the webinar contains slides and they cannot be downloaded (if the webinar is held on the expertsystem platform, the presentation can be downloaded), you need to record the screen. There is a Camtasia studio program for this. Material on working with this program will not fit into this article, but may extend into several and may appear in future articles. In any case, you can look for lessons on working with this program on the Internet.
As you can see, recording a webinar is not that difficult and you will always have a recording, even if the author does not want to give it to you.
