It is also possible to use intermediate amplifiers, if you still need a longer length for video signal transmission.

For greater compatibility, the DVI connector was made with the ability to support an analog signal. So there were three types of DVI connectors:

  1. 1) DVI-D transmits only a digital signal;
  2. 2) DVI-A only transmits analog signal;
  3. 3) DVI-I is used to transmit both digital and analog signals.
